Ed Burger is a savvy and seasoned professional in the Western New York music scene. His playing is expressive and represents years of development steeped in rock, blues, folk, funk, country, and jazz. On stage, he is at once captivating, intoxicating and inspiring. Ed began playing guitar at age 12 and by 16 was gigging on a regular basis in the Motown/pop/dance band Person to Person. After a brief time off for college (which included a jam with legendary Tonight Show and E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg) Ed returned to Buffalo and joined forces with a hard-working band of classic rock renegades called Rockola. Honing his craft and continuously striving to broaden his musical palate, he began playing original and cover music in bands that included Something Scarlet, The Fringe, and 12 AM. In the 1990's he helped form the alt/party rock band Toast! and was a main stay with the group until 2007, when he joined forces with The Carl Motyka Band. He is now extremely delighted and proud to provide the scorching solos, quintessential twang, eclectic funk, and back-breaking power for Western New York's premier rock-n-roll band, MURPHY'S LAW.
