Leeron Zydeco & the Hot Tamales perform throughout the East Coast presenting their upbeat, spicy blend of zydeco, cajun, caribbean, blues, tex-mex, and New Orleans funk. Leeron also conducts an interactive roots music workshop, entitled BorderBeat, for audiences at schools, colleges, community venues and festivals that traces the origins of the American music "gumbo."

Leeron Zydeco pushes the boundaries of contemporary zydeco to include a wide range of traditional American roots genres including cajun two-steps and waltzes, and bayou swamp boogie , as well as down home delta blues, festive tex-mex, infectious Caribbean calypso, ska and soca, and spirited New Orleans streetbeat funk. Leeron is als known for his adaptions of classic rock songs performed with a cajun/tex-mex twist along with powerful primitive percussion breaks that frenzy up the crowd. Some refer to this special style as "Buffalo Zydeco."
