Jim
Tudini
Jim Tudini has had a career in music spanning over 40 years and very diversified
while playing baritone sax, tenor sax, clarinet, bass clarinet and flute.
A graduate of Lafayette High School, Jim honed his craft playing in the
high school
big
band, jazz emsemble, choir and taking private lessons from John Sedola.
While in high school he began forming and playing with various rock and
jazz bands including
the
Buffalo State College Big Band. When Jim graduated from Lafayette High
School he went on to attend Canisus College and graduated with a bachelors
degree in music. During his tenure at Canisus he formed a show group and
began a very successful run playing throughout the region
in
many of Buffalo's most popular venues. About 25 years ago he began contracting
musicians for the shows at, the then famous, Melody Fair theater in the
round. During this time Jim prided himself in being able to put together
the finest musicians available to back up the shows. He also began contracting
and playing with for The Buffalo Brass, along with many other independent
shows in the Buffalo area. For the last 10 years Jim has been teaching
music and Director of Fine Arts at Canisus High School where he has developed
the music program into one of the finest in this area.
Throughout his career Jim has developed many clients both corporate and
personal that have relyed on him to provide them with the highest quality
of entertainment for their events. To that end, Jim believed the concept
of the traditional Big Band had was not keeping up with the changing times
and musical styles. So Jim decided to put take his present Big Band and
develope it into a band that truly represented the music that he grew up
with and
liked
so much. Why not be able to dance to the great big band standards and the
great pop and rock horn band tunes? Now the Jim Tudini Band does exactly
that. Fun from beginning to end with music spanning 40 years and featuring
Buffalos finest players and vocalists.
